Performance Pay - District Responsibility PayOverviewDistrict Responsibility Pay is a finite amount of money that is negotiated each year between the Douglas County Board of Education and the Douglas County Federation of Teachers. It is specifically designed to compensate teachers who work on committees of joint interest. Once the amount of money is set, five variables are taken into consideration for calculating a stipend amount each teacher will receive for their work on each committee. The five variables are:
After a statistical analysis, a numerical value is assigned value is assigned to each variable. Finally, a spreadsheet is developed which calculates the exact amount of each stipend. The Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and the President of the Douglas County Federation of Teachers then jointly review the spreadsheet. |
